Today I'll tell you how funny it is for children to work with rhyme!
It's easier for them to practise pronunciation and they get attracted by the language.
As I could see at my class, children get more attracted for language if it sounds fun.
You can start with easy rhymes and then make it more complicated. These are some examples:
cat - hat
get - pet
got - hot
fit - hit
fun - gun
You can find and select some rhyming words at these on-line rhyme dictionary: Rhymer
It's not very important if what children write has many sense or not, the most important is to write and read.
It's not very important if what children write has many sense or not, the most important is to write and read.
At the beginning you can tell them to write just some sentences and later they could write small rhyming stories.
Rhyme is a great resource for Nursery and Primary education if you treat it in a right way. Go and use it with your children!
