Good morning teachers!
Let's talk about listening, one of the most important aspects in English. Comprehension of what others are telling to you is fundamental.
There are many ways of practising listening and I've already told about you some of them in last posts here:
But today we're going to talk about it in a special way.
Listening is better when it's completely real, in a usual day to day. What I think is best to practise listening is to be in contact with English speaking teachers, native if possible but it is not a must. I think that living life in English will let the children make that language as their own language.
Of course also watching cartoon movies or children programs in English, what will attract their attention and the vocabulary will be specific for them. But this can also be practised at home with their parents. These funny activities will make children attracted by the language.
At class, they will get familiar with what they listen more frequently. I'm talking about routines. Routines in English will be the best for their learning!
When more activities in English appear in a class, higher will be children's level of English.
Antonio.
