My best and worst teacher

Good morning future teachers!

The last day I was told by my teacher of the subject "Teaching of English as a Second Language and Children's Literature" to write you a thought about my past teachers; thinking about who has been my best and worst teacher and explain you why.

I'd like to start with my best teacher.

She was my tutor in 2nd grade of Secondary Education and she was History & Geography teacher. Her best skill was the ability to make everyone in class involved and interested in working and learning. Even those who didn't like the subject were attracted by the way of learning. She made me fell in love with these subjects and since then I'm very interested in. Furthermore she was always worried about how were we feeling, if we needed some help, extra teaching or any other thing. She was always showing us her love and made us to be in love with her too. Since then, I think that love is the key to success in learning.

I won't like as much to talk about my worst teacher

He was my English teacher at the end of Primary Education, at 5th and 6th grade. Although English has always been my favourite subject, I didn't like to be in his subject those years. His methods were the worst ever, nobody wanted to listen to him and he treated us very bad, always ridiculing us. He was an old school teacher always speaking in Spanish and never in English. We also "learnt" Grammar in his class, never nothing more. So I told my parents to take me to an English Academy in the afternoons, the best idea ever! Now I got my English level increasing every year thanks to those extra classes.

Here you have two examples of how you can be with your students to be the a good or a bad teacher. Even knowing that you will never be the best teacher in the world, you always must act like if you were going to be THE BEST and your students will recognize you in that way!

Hope you enjoy reading! See you soon!

Antonio.
